Hassie M. Britt, age 84 of Pikeville, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, June 26, 2010 following a long illness in a local hospital. She was retired from Dura automotive and was a member of the Pikeville Church of God of Prophecy. Hassie was preceded in death by parents Rose and John Bowman, two children Randall Britt and Martha Sue Freeman, sisters Irene Bowman and Myrtle Starr.
Survivors include daughter Wanda Britt Lowe, Pikeville; three sons David (Kathie) Britt, Jerry (JoAnn) Britt, Pikeville; Tommy (Susan) Britt, Graysville; three granddaughters Kathy Skiles (Jeff) Smith, Pikeville; Karen Skiles (Alan) Pack, Dunlap; Jerica Britt, Pikeville; four grandsons Matthew Tucker and Marcus Britt, Pikeville; Justin and Robbie Davenport, Graysville; three great-grandsons James Edward Holland, Pikeville; Matthew Dale Skiles Reece, Dunlap; Greggory Pack, Dunlap; Luke Smith, Pikeville; two great-granddaughters Whitney Holland, Pikeville; Brandi Mooneyham, Dunlap; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Services will be Monday at 4:00 pm CDT in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Woodrow Forsythe and Bro. Hubert Thurman officiating. Burial will follow in Iron Hill Cemetery.
