Obituary of William Jennings Seals

William Jennings Seals, age 87, of Pikeville, TN died Saturday morning, July 14, 2007. He was an Army Veteran of World War II, and a member of VFW Post 5033 and American Legion Post 66.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Janie Walker Seals; one sister, Edith Cosenza; and his wife, Irene Akin Seals.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Oakes Seals; children, Dionna and Jerry Johnson, Ronald and Sandra Seals, Steve Seals and fiance, Nancy Smith; Judy D. Swafford, and Wendell and Sheila Oakes; sister and brother-in-law, Beulah and Glen Halling; thirteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Pikeville Cemetery. Arrangements by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home of Pikeville, TN, www.putnam-reed.com.
