Louise Stone Russell-Ustler, age 90, of Apopka, Florida, formerly of Whitwell, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 9th, 2010 in Apopka, Florida after years of advancing Alzheimer’s Disease. She is survived by her husband, Robert Ustler, Apopka, Fl.; son, Tom Russell, Apopka, Fl.; one granddaughter, Michelle Flanagan, and two grandchildren, Rachel and Devin, of Ocoee, Fl.; five nieces; six nephews; and a large extended family of loved ones and friends.
Louise was born March 17th, 1919 in Whitwell, Tennessee, the daughter of Will Stone and Maude Pickett Stone. During her life, she lived not only in Whitwell, TN but also called Bonnie Blue, VA; Riverdale, MD; Bristol, TN; Martinsville, VA; and Cleveland, TN her home before moving to Apopka, Fl. in 1983. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Irvin T. Russell; her parents; three brothers, Reverend Herbert A. Stone, Virgil Stone, and J.W. Stone; and a step-brother, Scott Stone. An excellent homemaker and caregiver, Louise will forever be remembered as a devoted and beloved spouse, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, aunt, cousin, cherished friend, and the perfect role model in letting her family and friends see love as expressed in 1st Corinthians, chapter 13, lived out through one’s life on this earth. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. CST Saturday, February 13th, 2010 at the Whitwell Church of God in Whitwell, Tennessee with the Reverend Hoyt E. Stone officiating. Burial will follow in the Whitwell Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are by Reed Funeral Home, 11675 Highway 28, Whitwell, TN.
The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:00 at her Whitwell Church of God.
