Raymond "Roll-Aid" Spurgin, age 74 of Dunlap, TN died Thursday morning January 7, 2010 after a long battle with Parkinson's. He founded Roll-Aid Industrial Supply and was preceded in death by his mother, Mae Butler.
He is survived by his wife, Bessie Spurgin; two daughters, Melissa (Marvin) Phillips, Dunlap, Carla ( Arnie) Clendenen, Pikeville; granddaughters, Leah Phillips, Jessica Phillips and Lydia (Dale) Barger; grandson, Michael Sullivan; two sisters, Linda Lawson, and Sharon Dodd both of GA; two brothers, Ellis Butler Jr, Rome, GA and Bobby Butler, AL; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law Doris Pitts; brother-in-law Cecil Mauldin.
Funeral service will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m CST in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Bobby Bowen officiating. Burial will be in Sequatchie County Memorial Gardens. Family requests in lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.
