Callie Roberts, age 102 of Pikeville and formerly of Union City, died Friday, October 14, 2011. She was an Eastern Star member OES for over seventy years. Callie was a member of Pikeville United Methodist Church and a former member of Harris Station United Methodist Church in Union City. Preceding her in death were her husband J. C. Roberts; great-grandson Horace Lynn Swafford; and son-in-law Martin DeBord.
Survivors include daughter Doris DeBord, Pikeville; three grandchildren Dwayne (Debbie) DeBord, Pikeville; Eric DeBord, Murfreesboro; Amanda (Ronnie) Swafford, Pikeville; five great-grandchildren Matthew (Shauna) DeBord, Dayton; Tyler DeBord, Jason, Justin and Andrew Swafford, Pikeville; Allyson and Gaberiella DeBord, Murfreesboro; brother-in-law George Holman and sister-in-law Nell Davis, both of Union City.
A visitation will be at the Putnam-Reed Funeral Home Saturday from 4-8 pm CDT. Service will be at the Harris Station United Methodist Church in Union City Sunday at 3:00 pm with visitation one hour before the service. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Garden. Nephews Marlin Stevens and Guy Upton, Jr. will be officiating the service. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the Bledsoe County Senior Citizens.
