Franklin Dion Cunningham, Sr, 75, of Lupton City, TN went to be with the Lord on December 7, 2009. He passed away at his home with his loving wife, Mary, of 50 years at his side.Franklin was a member of Mooneyham Church of God where he was the Adult Sunday School teacher for over 35 years. He was an avid fisherman well known by fishermen from all over the Tennessee Valley. Franklin was a veteran of the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Anna Bess Cunningham, sisters Treva Keener and Sue Cunningham and brother Thomas J Cunningham. He is survived by his aunt Ella Mae Gilbert, sister Avis (Bobby) Austin and brother Jim (Yvonne) Cunningham of Dunlap, TN; brothers Clyde (Faye) Cunningham and sister-in-law Nancy Cunningham of Spencer, TN, brothers Raymond (Wilma) Cunningham of Dayton; Melvin (Judy) Cunningham of Chattanooga, TN.Sons Dion (Susan) Cunningham and Mark (Barbara) Cunningham of Spencer, TN; Franklin Cunningham, Jr and daughters Louise (Greg) Adamson of Chattanooga, TN and Patsy (Larry) Qualls of Soddy Daisy, TN. Grandchildren Brian Cunningham, Kayla Moore, Kevin Cunningham, Heather Ross, Courtney Cunningham and Sarah Adamson. Great grandchildren Riley and Zoey Moore and Aidan Ross. Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Funeral service will be held Wed. 1pm CST at the Mooneyham Church of God with Rev. Douglas Cunningham officiating.
