Juanita McCurry Shelton, age 103, of Whitwell, TN died Friday morning September 11, 2009 at her home. She was a member of Oak Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a former Marion County School Teacher. She was preceded in death by her husband C. S. Shelton.
Survivors; daughter Martha Layne, Whitwell; three sons David Shelton, Whitwell; Robert Shelton, Dallas, TX, and John Shelton, Pikeville; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren five great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank all the ladies who took special care of Juanita during her illness. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Oak Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Funeral service will be held Monday at 2:00 pm CDT in the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Patterson and Rev. Phillip Layne officiating. Burial will be in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.Visitation will be Sunday 3-8 pm CDT. Online condolences can be made to www.reedfamilyfh.com.
