Dorothy "Dot" Allison Loyd, age 86 of Pikeville, died Monday, August 24, 2009 at her home after an extended illness. She was a member of Lee Station Church of Christ for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert A Loyd; parents, Claude and Cleo Allison; one brother, JC Allison and one great-grandchild, Josh Stephens.
She is survived two sons, Bobby (Dona) Loyd and Larry S. (Sandy) Loyd; grandchildren, Benjamin Loyd; Stephen (Pam) Loyd; Aaron (Bridgett) Loyd; Brian (Rebecca) Loyd; Ethan (Melanie) Loyd; Jessica (Tom) Burdick; Amanda (Curtis) Defenderfer; Dustin Tidwell; ten great-grandchildren, sisters Virginia Davis, Texas; Helen (Jack) Nipper, Pikeville; Nancy (Truman) Godwin, Texas; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. CDT in the chapel with Ministers Bobby Collier annd L J Reel officiating. Burial will be in Brushy Cemetery. Visitation will begin Wednesday at 3:00 - 9:00 p.m. and Thursday 3:00 - 9:00 p.m. CDT. Arrangements by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, Hwy 127 South, Pikeville, TN.
