Obituary of Ralph Speck

Ralph O. Speck, of Dunlap, TN was born March 29, 1929 and departed this earth on August 22, 2009. He leaves behind a wife, Linda Speck, a daughter, Kim Jackson Lucas, a granddaughter, Kirby Erin Jackson, a sister Sara Lynn Brunson; three brothers, Mike, Royce and Edison Speck and other family and friends too numerous to mention.
Ralph lived life to the fullest and was a avid reader, prolific writer, nature lover, and spiritual teacher. He authored three books after his retirement from State Farm Insurance, two of which are autobiographical in nature. He served his fellow man with love and compassion, and pursued learning and spiritual growth until the minute he died. A service to honor his life will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. CDT at the Dunlap United Methodist Church, located at 1958 Main Street, Dunlap, with Rev. Gerald Casson officiating. Burial will be in the Rankin Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Dunlap United Methodist Church and earmark contributions for the jail and prison ministry, which he was passionate about.
