Obituary of Idell Payne

Idell S. Payne, age 86, of Dunlap, TN died Thursday evening August 20, 2009 at Parkridge Medical Center. She was a member of the Dunlap First Baptist Church and taught school in the Sequatchie County School System for 45 years, retiring in 1989. She was a member of several teacher organizations and was preceded in death by her husband, John Payne in 1989; son, James Payne in 2004.
She is survived by two grandchildren, Chris Payne, Chattanooga and Cindy Payne Wood, Huntsville, AL; 2 sisters, Lorene Seals, Dunlap, Anna Savage, Baxter; 2 great-grandchildren Hannah and Brian Payne; 1 niece Linda Savage; 5 nephews, Gary Seals, Richard Savage Jr., Robert Savage, Michael Savage and Stephen Savage.
Funeral service will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Randy Harmon officiating. Burial will be in Sequatchie County Memorial Gardens. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com.
Arrangements by Putnam-Standefer-Reed Funeral Home, 50 May Road, Dunlap. Family will receive friends Saturday from 4:00-9:00 p.m. CDT and Sunday from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. CDT.
