Lola Ashley, born December 6, 1921 passed from this life on February 9, 2017. She was 95 years old. She was the daughter of the late John Herbert Mooneyham and Minnie Susan (Dodson) Mooneyham. She was a lifelong resident of the Mooneyham Community in Van Buren County, Tn. She was a member of the Church of Christ for over 75 years and attended services at the Midway congregation. She retired as a seamstress from the Spencer Shirt Factory. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers; Bransford, Foster, Clay, Amos and Ernest Mooneyham; and three sisters, Vernie Myers, Notie Ashley and Mary Jane Guy. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Maynard Ashley, who she married on March 17, 1948; one son, Daniel (Judy) Mooneyham; daughter, Peggy (Kenny) Simmons; four grandchildren, Marlene (Phillip) Delong, Tracy Mooneyham, Devin (Alyssa) Simmons and Emily Simmons; three great-grandchildren, Jordan & Jessica Delong and Kurtis Mooneyham; three sisters, Anna Lee Haston, Lyda Hodge and Dovie Walker; and a host of family and friends. Services will be held Monday at 1:00 pm CST in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Paul Cagle and Bro. Gene Brock officiating. Pallbearers will be Ethan Hillis, Dale Barger, Eugene McMillen, Tom Stilber, Kelvin White and Royce Farris. Burial will be in Myers Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. The arrangements are by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, Pikeville, TN. Visitation will be Saturday from 4:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. CST and Sunday from 2:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. CST.
