Obituary of Opal Layman

Opal O. Layman, age 93 of the Cartwright Community passed away at her home Saturday afternoon August 15, 2009. She was of the Church of God Faith. She was preceded in death by her husband John A. Layman; Daughter Judy Layman.
She is survived by five daughters Arlene (John) Gamble, Dunlap, Barbara Grayson, Powell's Cross Roads, Shirley Prestel, Whitwell, Delores (Mike) Morgan and Faye (Robbie) Brady, both of Cartwright; two sons James Layman, Cartwright and Jerry (Beverly) Layman, Trenton, GA; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday 1:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Donnie Lawson officiating. Burial will be in the Cookston Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at
