Mary Sue Hixson Howser, age 72 of Pikeville, died Saturday, August 8, 2009. She was a member of the Keener Hill Church of God and retired from the Sequatchie County Hospital where she worked as a LPN. She was preceded in death by first husband Radis "Jim" Hixson; parents Roy and Myrtle Lawson; brother Charles "Buck" Lawson.
Survivors include husband Harold Howser, Pikeville; daughter Darlene Baker, Pikeville; Gail (Bobby) Looper, Spencer; Debbie (Steve) Sutherland, Ocoee; son Roy (Sharon) Hixson, Pikeville; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; sisters Janet Ray, Fairfield Glade; Margaret Redwine, Crab Orchard; brother Frank Lawson, Geogia. Services will be Tuesday at 1:00 pm CDT in the funeral home chapel with Rev H. B. Keener officiating. Burial will be in Taylors Chapel Cemetery.
