Cecil John White, 62, of Whitwell, TN, died at his home, Saturday, November 19, 2016. He was a long time employee of Smith's Grocery and Hooper Drug Store, and was a member of Whitwell First United Methodist Church. Cecil was preceded in death by his mother, Laura Meeks, and sister, Ruby French.
Left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Theresa White, of Rochester, NY, Geraldine Meeks, and Deb (Wayne) Cagle; brother, Allen " Peewee" (Amanda) Meeks; nieces and nephews, Shannon (Kim) French, Cody (Britney) French, Derrick (Janice) Cagle, Candy (Jeff) Green, and Jake and Lora Meeks; several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November, 21, at 2:00 p.m. CDT at Whitwell United Methodist Church, with BJ Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Whitwell Memorial cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 20, from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m. CDT. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com.
