Billy Joe "Perk" Pursley, age 79, of Dunlap, TN, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Erlanger Sequatchie Valley. He attended the Light House Baptist Church, was an avid football fan and was a well known home builder. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Kilgore Elder; parents, Charley Jack and Una Pursley; brothers, Harold and Toby Pursley.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Pursley; daughter, Teresa (Rob) Swafford, Crossville; four sons, Dewayne (Shannon), Darryl (Amber Boston), Dwight (Kim) Pursley and Dylan Elder; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Emma Allen, Covington, GA and Georgia James, Soddy-Daisy; three brothers, Charles Pursley, Ringgold, GA, Albert and Jackie Pursley both of Dunlap; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday 11:00 a.m. CST in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Lanny Tate and Bro. James Louallen officiating. Burial will be in Rankin Cemetery. Family will receive friends Saturday 2:00-8:00 p.m. and Sunday 9:00 a.m.- 8:00 p.m. CST.
