Obituary of Bill Hall

Bill Hall January 25, 1926 - October 31, 2016 Bill Hall of Whitwell, TN died peacefully on Monday, October 31, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Marie Hall; wife, Norma Hixson Hall; brother, George Ray Hall. Among those left to cherish his memory are brother, Bob (Fonda) Hall; sister-in-law, Reva Jo Hall; nephew, David (Karen) Hall; nieces, Kay (Gary) Light, Rhonda (Matt) Mulroy, Regina Hall; great nieces Allison Hall and Lori Hall; several cousins. Bill was a life-long active member of Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church. He served in the Air Force from October 1950 to July 1954. For many years he enjoyed piloting planes as a hobby and served on various airport boards. He was widely known for his over 60 years of providing wrecker service and for sharing stories. The family will receive friends Thursday 4:00-8:00 p.m. CDT at Reed Funeral Home, and Friday 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Funeral services will be held Friday 11:00 CDT at the Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Davis Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by The Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Winsome Sunday School Class.
