James K. (Doodle) Morrison ,age 83, of Powells Crossroads,Tn. left us to be with the Lord on July-21-09. He was born on March 1, 1926 Preceding in Death Wife: Helen C. Morrison Parents: James Henry Morrison and Mamie Morrison Siblings: Lee,Lonnie,Arnold,Pat Morrison ,Lila Worley,Nellie Kilgore,Letha Dishroom,Kathleen Bertram, Survivors Children: Denise & Patrick Rhyan Dunlap Tn. Myra & DuWane Hooper Birmingham Ala. and Stephen & Dianna Morrison Powells Crossroads Tn. Grand Children: Avery Pickett, Baxter Pickett, Aubrey Hooper, Sarah Hooper, Tanner Morrison, and Patrick Morrison Great Grand Children: Riley Pickett Sibling: Joe Morrison He retired from US Stove Company ,Chattanooga and Marion County Board of Education. In his life he was also a coal miner,plumber,electrician,truckdriver and farmer. He was a member of Sulfer Springs U.M.C. He was a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars He was a WW II veteran where he served honorably in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific Theatre. He loved his country and community. No one was a stranger to him and he enjoyed talking to everyone.He was a honest man and a man of integrity and principle. He was married to a wonderful lady for 51 years. A was a wonderful husband,father , grandfather and was dependable to support anyone that needed help. He will be missed by many friends and loved ones in which he had many .
