Bessie L. Deweese of Van Buren County went home to be with the Lord on July 21, 2009. She departed this life at Erlanger-Bledsoe Hospital. She was 94 years of age and a resident of Bledsoe County Nursing Home. She was a member of West End Church of God, Fall Creek Home Demonstration Club for 50 years and the Fall Creek Falls Community Center. She was a housewife, devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and neighbor. All that knew her, loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Myers; husband, Albert Deweese; sons, James Norman and John Albert Deweese; daughters, Carolyn Moore and Barbara Ann Deweese; daughters-in-law, Jean and Jearline; son-in-law, David West; grandchildren, Iretha, Denny and Kevin Deweese; great-grandchild, Gracie Carol Lucas; great-great-grandchild, Haylee Johnson; one sister and three brothers. She is survived by sons, Donnie (Margie) Deweese of Dunlap and Bobby Deweese of Knoxville; daughters, Peggy West of Dunlap and Janice (Bobby) Parker of Pikeville; daughter-in-law Audrey Deweese of Pikeville; eight grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren; children and spouses. Also her special Sunday date, Phyllis Deweese; several nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be held in the chapel Thursday July 23 at 2:00 p.m. CDT with Mike Stanifer and Danny Lee officiating. Burial will be in Walling Cemetery. Visitation will begin Wednesday 2 until 9 p.m. CDT and Thursday until funeral time. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com.
