Obituary of Calvin Clint Kilgore

Calvin Clint Kilgore, Jr. age 90, of Victoria, TN died Sunday July 12, 2009 at his home. He was a life long resident of the Sequachee Valley. He was a member of the Sardis United Methodist Church, Whitwell Lodge #563 F&A.M. He was a man of music and assorted talents, accomplished fiddle player playing with the Sequachee Valley Ramblers and The Crabgrass Band. He was a Graduate of Whitwell High School Class of 1939 and Coyne Electrical School, Chicago IL in 1940. He was a coal miner, electrician, lockmaster and worked for the US Corps of Engineers. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Josephine McEntyre Kilgore. He is survived by one son Dr. Larry C. Kilgore and wife Patricia of Birmingham, AL; granddaughter, Lauren Elizabeth Kilgore, Nashville; grandsons, Clinton Travis and Joseph Patrick Kilgore, both of Birmingham; special friends, Marie Culpepper, Clyde Kilgore, and Larry Sellers. Special thanks to caregivers, Wanda Parks and family and Marie Culpepper and family, Hospice of Chattanooga nurse Vicky Eggert. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in the Whitwell Memorial Cemetery.
