Hillaird McGowa, age 85 of Jasper, TN died Monday Morning July 10, 2009 in the Grandview Medical Center.
He was the past commander of V.F.W. Post 4848, Riverside Drive Chattanooga and a member of the the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his wife Beatrice McGowan; great-grandson Bret Logan Stradford.
He is survived by one daughter Margaret Elaine (Phillip) Baze; son Ronald O'Brian (Juanita) McGowan, all of Jasper; grandchildren, Lori Michelle Scuzarro, Brian McGowan, Alyson McGowan; great-granddaughter Andrianna Michelle Scuzorro; sister Naomi Owen, Jasper, GA.
Services will be held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Don Stevens officiatimng. The burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
