Jakey (Jake) Hancock, age 59 of Dayton, TN died Wednesday July 1, 2009 in an area nursing home. He was of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by his parents,Clyde and Georgia Hancock; a sister, Anna Whittenburg and a brother, Oliver G Hancock.
He is survived by one daughter, Michelle Gilbert of Ohio and grandchildren, Matthew Kyle Hancock and Bridget Gilbert; two sisters, Evelyn (Harold) Hamm of Murfreesboro; Janice Montgomery of Graysville and two brothers, James C Hancock of Primm Springs and Doyle Ray Hancock of Greenville, TN; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Friday at 3:30 p.m. CDT in the chapel. Burial will be in Rigsby Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, Hwy 127, Pikeville, TN. Visitation Thursday 11:00 until 9:00 and Friday 9:00 a.m.CDT until funeral time.
