Mary Lee Higdon, age 76 of Dunlap, TN passed away early Sunday morning June 21, 2009 in the Memorial Hospital. She was of the Baptist Faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe D. and Juanita Boston; daughter, Billie Sue Layne; grandson, Richard Aaron Layne; sister, Billie Lois Boston and Joan Lanier; brother, Danny Ray Boston.
She is survived by her husband, Sonny Higdon; daughter, Edwina (Joe) Rains; two sons, Pete (Darlene) and Bobby (Tennie) Higdon all of Dunlap; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Geraldine Morton and Maxine Miller both of Signal Mountain, Margie Harvey and Linda Sue (Sam) Johnson both of Dunlap; two brothers, Isaac (Betty) and Ricky Lynn Boston both of Dunlap several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 1:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Donnie Lawson officiating. Burial will be in the Bryant Cemetery. Arrangements are by Putnam-Standefer-Reed Funeral Home, 50 May Road, Dunlap.
The family will receive friends Monday 10 am to 2 pm and from 5 pm to 9 pm
