David G. Griffith, age 67 of Whitwell, died Tuesday June 16, 2009 at his home. He was preceded in death by a son, James Howard Griffith.
He is survived by his wife Diane Griffith; three daughters, Beverly Jo Smith, Tammy Lee Ann (Evil) Slatton and Kimberly Lynn (Patrick) Hollifield; one son, David Dewayne Griffith all of Whitwell; eight grandchildren; five sisters, Petie Privett, Mattie Pittman, Hazel Cannon and Lucy Curtis all of Whitwell and Ann Layne of Dunlap; four brothers, Hershel, King Bee and Hullan Griffith all of Whitwell and Keith Griffith of Dunlap.
Funeral service will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. CDT in the chapel with Rev. Wayne Norris officiating. Burial will be in Palmer Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements by Reed Funeral Home, Whitwell, RN. Visitation is Thursday 1-9 pm CDT.
