Hugh Baker, age 79, of Lusk Community in Pikeville, TN, passed away, Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at his home. He was a member of Mooneyham Freewill Baptist Church and was retired from Carpenter Local 74. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Sue Baker; parents, Emory Baker and Mildred Roberts; three sisters, Bobbie Roberson, Nina Blankenship, Vonda Miller; brother, Tony Baker.
He is survived by his six daughters, Beverly (Bryan ) Suarez, Soddy Daisy, Treasa (Shane) Watkins, Knoxville, Melissa Baker, Pikeville, Joyce Baker, Pikeville, Tisha Baker, Carrollton, GA, Mesha Baker, Florence, AL; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Peggy Joyce Banks, Hoover, AL and Betty Jo (Johnny) Blankenship, Pikeville; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday 2:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Hubert Davis officiating. Burial will be in Collier Cemetery. Family will receive friends Friday 1:00-9:00 and Saturday 9:00 a.m.- 9:00 p.m. CDT.
