Betty L. Rains, age 84, of Lusk Community in Pikeville, TN, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2016 at NHC Healthcare. She was a member of Bethel church of Christ, enjoyed cooking for family and friends, had a love for the outdoors which included spending time working with her flowers, and loved to quilt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Amos Rains; son, Glendol Rains; daughter-in-law, Debbie Rains; parents, Ed and Vestie Walker; brothers, Wayne and Raymond Walker; sister, Beatrice Murry.
She is survived by her sons, Johnny and Joel (Deanna) Rains, Pikeville; daughter-in-law, Carol Rains; grandchildren, Chad (Heather) Rains, Penny (David) Tucker, Jonathan (Christy) Rains, Justin (Aspen) Rains, Grant (Amanda) Rains, and Cara (Brad) Sapp; great-grandchildren, Bryce and Bryna Tucker, Warn and Westin Rains, Braden and Brylie Rains, Amos Case Rains, and Justin Layne; sisters, Thelma (Jim) Henry, Hazel (Darmen) Smith, both of Hixson, TN; brothers, Norman (Juanita) Walker, and Don Walker, Dunlap; sister-in-laws, Jewel Walker, Dunlap and Elzada Rains, Pikeville; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday 1:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with Minister T.A. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Collier Cemetery.
