Zelpha Mae Morgan, age 78 of Pikeville, died Monday, May 25, 2009. She was of the Catholic faith. Preceding her in death were her husband Edwin P. Morgan; parents Ellison "Skunk" and Pearlie Mae Wheeler; brother Charlie Wheeler; sister Ramona Barnes; two daughters Barbara Jean Burdett and Michelle Annette Morgan.
Survivors are children Arnold Moody, Pikeville; Edwin Alan Morgan, N.J.; Joseph Paul Morgan, GA; Judy Dunn, Dunlap; Linda Sue Burdett, Spencer; Carolyn Louise Burdett, N. C.; and Kathy George, N. J.; thirteen grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brother Leonard Wheeler, Winchester; and her most beloved youngest child a dachshund named Blackie Morgan. Services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am CDT in the funeral home chapel with Father Mark Scholz officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery.
