Michael Ray Swope, age 47, of Whitwell died Thursday night April 23, 2009 at Grandview Medical Center. He was a member of Olive Branch Lodge #297 F&M where is was currently serving as Sr. Stewart and McWhirtersville Lodge #375 F&M Donelson, Tn, Scottish Rite, Valley of Chattanooga, Alabama Shrine Temple, Sec. of Marion County Scottish Rite Club. Preceded in death by infant daughter Sara Shaylee Swope, father Earl Walter Swope, sister Charlene Louise Swope, cherished uncle Arngie Pope. Survivors; wife Joyce Ann Swope, daughter Brandi Swope Durard and husband Johnathan, Crossroads; son Michael Dewayne Swope and wife Jacgulyn, Nashville, TN; three grandchildren ; Savannah Shaylee Swope, Collin Ray Swope, Damien Nathaniel Durard. Mother, Hazel Louise Lance, Cagle Mountain; two sisters, Susie Burdick, Cagle Mountain, Darlene Swope, Talapoosa, Ga.; several beloved nieces and nephew. Funeral services will be Monday 11:00 A.M. CDT in the funeral home chapel and buriel will be in condra cemetery.
