Obituary of Amos Sutherland

Amos Sutherland, age 87 of Dunlap, TN passed away Saturday afternoon March 14, 2009 at the Grandview Medical Center. He was a veteran of World War II, a retired saw mill worker and a avid hunter.
He was preceded in death by his parents Will and Maggie Sutherland; brothers Luther, Lester, France, Lee, Otis and Milton; sisters, Lucy, Corine, Vemurial and Verna; grandson Jimmy Sutherland.
He is survived by his children Linda Joyce Russell, W.L. and Allen Sutherland all of the Daus Community; Faye King, Debbie Bone, Beula Worley, Margie Brewer and Ray Sutherland all of Dunlap, Gary Sutherland, Spencer; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister Margie Leon, AZ; Several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. David Burgess officiating. Burial will be in Harvey Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com.
Arrangements by Putnam-Standefer-Reed Funeral Home, 50 May Road, Dunlap. Family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 p.m to 9:00 p.m. CDT and from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday.
