Steve Swanger, age 69, of Dunlap, TN, passed away Saturday evening November 14, 2015 in the Erlanger Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Effa Swanger; parents, Elmer and Cleo Swanger; four brothers, James, Haskel, Joe and Quay Swanger.
He is survived by two sons, Bryan Swanger, Chattanooga and Lamar Swanger, Dunlap; three sisters, Lorraine Price, Betty (James "Pappy") Hobbs, Peggy (Sonny) Smith, all of Dunlap; two brothers, Wade Swanger, Ten Mile and Freddy Swanger, Dunlap; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday 11:00 a.m. CST in the Collier Cemetery with Rev. Brandon Gates officiating, with military honors provided by Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements by Standefer-Reed Funeral Home, 50 May Road, Dunlap. Family will receive friends Monday, 4:00-8:00 p.m. CST.
