Lucille Turner Hargis, age 83 of Dunlap, died May 5, 2011 at her home. She was a member of Bethel Church of Christ. Lucille was preceded in death by husband Elmer "Shorty" Hargis; parents J. O. Turner, Sr. and Eliza Turner; sisters Geneva Smith, Mary Tucker, Soiphie Moore, and Cleora Sullivan; brothers J. O. "Jib" Turner, Jr., Melvin, Brown and Howard Turner.
Survivors include daughters Brenda Hargis, Carolyn (Ronnie) Harvey, Sherry (Chuck) Cartwrigtht, all of Dunlap; son Terry (Peggy) Hargis, Pikeville; granddaughters Mitzi Hargis, Jayla Cartwright; grandsons Bradley Hargis and Derek Harvey; sisters Lorene Smith and Leona Roberts, Pikeville; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Saturday at 2:00 pm CDT in the funeral home chapel with Bro. T. A. Smith and Bro. Bradley Hargis officiating. Burial will be in Collier Cemetery.
