Thomas Worthington Jr., age 76 of Pikeville, left this world Friday, February 25, 2011 and is now walking peacefully with his Lord. He was a member of the Church of Christ at Bethel, a veteran of the U.S. Army, retired from Lazy Boy and was a farmer all of his life. He was a man full of integrity who had a love for the beauty of God’s creation.
Wife, Nell (Lusk) Worthington; parents, Jim and Sally Worthington; brother, Melvin Worthington and sister, Helen Moody preceded him in death.
Junior will be missed by his wife, Margarett (Siever) Worthington; sister, Myrtle Lee Hutcherson; brother-in-law, Bud Moody; children, Paul (Becky) Farmer, Anetra Farmer, and Verinda (Steve) Wright; grandchildren, Kyle, Kory, and Chelsi Farmer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 am CST on Monday, February 28, 2011. The family will receive friends Saturday and Sunday 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm CST. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements by Putnam Reed Funeral Home, HWY 127.
