Dorothy Hudson Rogers, 82, of Powell's Crossroads, went to be with the Lord Sunday Feb. 20, 2011, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Rogers was and Active member of Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church and the Sarah Sunday School Class. She retired for Marion County Board of Education,
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lige L. and Mae Lamb Hudson; four brothers Lige Ray, Harry (Bud), Billy Mack and Jimmy Lamb Hudson.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 64 years James Howard Rogers, of Powells Crossroads; daughter, Christie (Wayne) Walker, Ooltewah, TN; son, Ronnie (Deborah) Rogers, Soddy-Daisy, TN; grandsons, Shane and Casey Curtis ; great-grandchildren, Trinity and Gaige; sister, Ninna Hudson, Flintstone, GA; brother Bobby G. Hudson, Tiftonia; sister-in-law Will Helen Hudson and several nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate her life will be held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. CST at Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church with Rev. Cecil Baxter and Rev. Bryan Wyke officiating. The burial will be in Red Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. CST.
