Kathleen L. Shankle, age 77, of Dunlap, TN, died Friday, February 18, 2011 at Parkridge Medical Center. She was a member of the Dunlap Church of God and former employee of the Sequatchie County School System. She was a LPN. She served along side her husband for 38 years in Pastoral Ministries. She was preceded in death by parents, C.R. and Annie Mae Orvin.
She is survived by husband of 60 years four months and five days, Clyde F. Shankle; two daughters, Kathy (Earl) Rowan and Cynthia (Roger) Johnson, both of Cleveland; grandchildren, Audra (Denzel) Huffmaster, Aaron (Brittany) Bristol, two great-grandchildren, Spane and Ainsley; brother, Allen W. Orvin, Kannapolis, NC.
Funeral services will be held Sunday 2:00 p.m. CST in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Sonny Wilkes officiating. Entombment will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. CST at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Cleveland, TN. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. In lieu of flowers, family request contribution to the Gideon Bible Program. Arrangements by Putnam-Standefer-Reed Funeral Home, 50 May Road, Dunlap. Family will receive friends Saturday 6:00-8:00 p.m. CST.
