Johnnie Louise Martin, age 81, of Signal Mtn., TN, left this Earth to be with her Lord and Savior in Heaven Thursday night, March 15, 2012. She was preceded in death by husband, Harley Martin.
She is survived by two sons, David (Ruby) Martin and Ed (Marilyn) Martin; granddaughter, Robin Martin; grandson, Bryan (Tara) Martin; great-grandchildren Laura Leigh Brooks, Braden Martin, Logan Martin and Addison Rose Martin; sisters, Edna Thurman, Glenis Thurman, Billie Roberts, Lecille Thurman, Chattanooga, Mildred Griffith and Wilma Griffith, Signal Mtn.; brothers, Wendell (Mary Lou) and Carlos Swafford, both of Chattanooga; several nieces and nephews.
A very special thank you goes out to friend and caregiver Jean Williams. Special thank you to Hospice of Chattanooga, Heather McDonald, Pat Flowers, Rachell Bottomley and special thanks to Amy Hicks of Hospice.
Graveside services will be held Sunday 2:00 p.m. EDT at Sequatchie County Memorial Garden with Dr. Steve Granger officiating. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. In lieu of flowers the family request contributions be made to Hospice of Chattanooga in memory of Johnnie Martin. Arrangements by Standefer-Reed Funeral Home, 50 May Road, Dunlap. Family will receive friends Saturday 4:00-8:00 p.m. EDT.
