Virginia L. Fields, age 88, of Pikeville, TN died Monday, July 12, 2021 at Erlanger Bledsoe.
She was a member of Shady Vale Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Eulah Mae Walker Thurman; and sister, Francis Fields.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Virgil T. Fields, Jr.; children, Patsy (Bill) Ellis and Trudy (David) Shell; grandchildren, Hope (Neal) Ashburn, Justin Ellis and Alex Shell; great-grandchildren, Maddie Ashburn and Jaxson Ellis; and sister, Geraldine (Larry) Dockery.
There will be a private service for immediate family with burial in Brushy Cemetery. Arrangements will be announced at a later date. Online condolences can be made at reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements are by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, 1171 Main Street, Pikeville, TN. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Shady Vale Church of God or Brushy Cemetery.
