Obituary of C B Moore

C. B. Moore, age 83 of Pikeville, died Tuesday, January 18, 2011. He was born in Morgan County in 1927. C B was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all who knew him. He was a member of the first Southern Baptist Church, where he was a member of the men's Sunday School Class. He served as Chief of Police for the City of Pikeville in the seventys and eightys and was retired from the Bledsoe County Ambulance Service. C B was an avid train collector for many years and always enjoyed running his trains for all his visitors. He was self-educated. He was preceded in death by his parents Samuel and Maggie Jernigan Moore; brothers Charles and Robert Moore; sister Helen Abel; great-grandson Alexander Sutherland. C B is survived by his wife of sixty-three years Ruth B. Moore, Pikeville; daughters Patsy (Roy Joe) Angel, Pikeville; Teresa Mabry, Chattanooga; Myki (Larry) Frady, Pikeville; sons Conrad (Brenda) Moore, Pikeville; Philip (Sandy) Moore, Chattanooga; Jimmy Moore, Athens; nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson; brother Billy Paul (Barbara) Moore, Harriman; several nieces and nephews. Services will be Thursday at 11:00 am CST in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Albert Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
