Louis Frank Atterton, age 87,of whitwell passed away Sunday January 1, 2012 at Etowah Health care. He was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church, and member of Lodge # 563 F &A.M. Sequatchie Valley Order of Eastern star #116 and a Veteran of WWII where he served in the army. He was preceded in death by mother Florence Atterton Pickett; father Lewis Atterton; two sisters, Louise Henry and Joyce VanHooser, Brother Harry Joe "Duck" Atterton.
He is survived by his wife Margie Louise Atterton; daughter Sandra Owens and fiancée Scott Roberts, Chattanooga, son Steve (Tina) Atterton, Whitwell; 4 grandchildren; Micah Atterton, Haley Atterton, Stephany (Jimmy) Hawk, Ashley Hooks; two great-grandchildren, Garrett and Cooper Hawk.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday 2:00 p.m. CST in the funeral home chapel with Brother Hershel Powell officiating. Burial will be in Whitwell memorial Cemetery.
