W. A. "Dub" Blankenship, age 94 of Pikeville, died Monday, December 19, 2011. Preceding him in death was his wife Johnnie Ann Blankenship; daughter Shelby Jean Ferguson, sister Alberta Troy; brothers Charlie, John, Jess, Giles, and Loyd Blankenship.
Survivors include sons Dale (Gail) Blankenship, Pikeville; Don (Barbara) Blankenship, Chattanooga; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Service will be Wednesday at 1:00 pm CST in the funeral home chapel with burial in Blankenship Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, Hwy 127 South, Pikeville, TN. Visitation Tuesday 5-9 pm CST.
