Frank LeVan, age 98, of Dunlap, TN died Monday, November 22, 2010 at NHC Health Care. He was of the United Methodist Faith. He served on the Sequatchie County School Board for 22 years. He started one of the first auto body repair shops in the Sequatchie Valley. He was also an avid boater.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Verna Sue Hogue LeVan; three sisters, Gladys Hamilton, Marie and Ruby LeVan; five brothers, Lee, James, Alvin, John and Jess LeVan.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou LeVan; daughter Linda Sue LeVan, Atlanta; two sons Jimmy (Lillie) LeVan, Dunlap, Gerald (Jo Anne) LeVan, Signal Mountain; two grandchildren, Michael Edward (Lynda) LeVan, Signal Mountain and Kimberly (Bob) Weiss, Memphis; three great- grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Ruth LeVan, Chattanooga; three step-children, Ricky (Tina) Hickman, Gary (Leslie) Hickman and Donna (Skip) Rogers.
Graveside services will be Wednesday 3:00 p.m. CST at Chapel Hill Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Boston officiating. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements by Putnam-Standefer-Reed Funeral Home, 50 May Road, Dunlap. Family will receive friends 12-2:30P.M. CST Wednesday.
