Marie Labay, age 75 of Pikeville, died Wednesday morning, October 13, 2010. She was born in Bledsoe County to Gordon and Mabel Brown. Marie was a member of First Southern Baptist Church where she belonged to the Fidalis Sunday School Class, and was a member of the Board of Directors at Wesley's Chapel Cemetery. She retired from Oster of Dayton and Dura of Pikeville.
Preceding her in death were her parents Gordon and Mabel Brown.
Survivors include two sons Tim Labay, Pikeville; Jim (Elaine) Labay, Dayton; sister Margaret Heckaman, Pikeville; two brothers Dion (Imogene) Brown, Pikeville and Clay (Margaret) Brown, Chattanooga; grandchildren Jeremy Labay, Cora Labay, Chad (Patsy) Labay, Tiffany (Jason) Beene; two great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Services will be Saturday at 11:00 am CDT in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Jim Whitaker and Bro. Darrell Evans officiating. Burial will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
