Please share a memory of Beatrice to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Beatrice (Granny Bea) Sinks Knott, age 90 of Pikeville, passed peacefully from this life on October 7, 2010 at her home surrounded by family. She was of the Church of God faith and a beloved member of her family. Beatrice spent most of her life in a kitchen, whether it was at home cooking for family and friends on in the resturants where she worked. She was a wonderful, loving, giving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all who was blessed to know her. By example she instilled in her family the importance of family, hard work, honesty, love, and respect, that it was better to give than receive and to always treat others the way you wanted to be treated. Preceding her in death were parents Leland and Clara Holland; husbands Julius Sinks and Loyd Knott; sons Raymond Sinks and Randell Sinks; Grandaughter Carol Johnson; special nephew Anthony (Tony) Bickford; brother Paul Holland and sister Viola Tollison. She is survived by her daughters Pearl Sullivan; Sylvia (Sam) Rainey, Jr, Pikeville; son Ivan (Patricia) Sinks, Dunlap; daughter-in-laws Vivian Sinks, McMinnville; Bonnie Sinks, Michigan; brother Clyde (Mary) Holland, Pikeville; sister Wilma (Dan) Fults, McMinnville; eleven grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; numerous special nieces, nephews, and friends.
