Hubert New, age 93 of the Brayton Community, died Saturday, October 29, 2011. He was a member of Hendon Baptist Church.
Hubert was preceded in death by wife Sarah New; granddaughter Anne Marie New; sisters Ethel Parmley, Thelma Butram, Norma Morrow and Eva Jane New; brothers Floyd, Gaylon , Hobert, and Ardell New.
Survivors include two daughters Peggy Ferguson, Brayton and Betty (Hershel) Britt, Dayton; son Herbert Leon (Karen) New, CA.; eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; sister Rilda Daffron, Ky; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Service will be Monday at 1:00pm CDT in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in New Family Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, Hwy 127 South, Pikeville, TN. Visitation Sunday 3-8pm CDT.
