Sarah Kimber, age 92 of Pikeville, passed away Thursday, September 30, 2010 at her home.
Sarah was a graduate of Bledsoe County High School. Sarah retired from Bledsoe County Extension Services where she worked for 47 years. She was a lifetime member of the Wesleys Chapel United Methodist Church. Sarah was also involved in many charitable endeavors.
She was proceeded in death by her parents Fred and Ida (Card) Kimber; sister Margaret Kimber (G.W.) Thompson; two brothers, Billy and Robert Kimber.
She is survived by one sister Dorothy Kimber (Lum) Ruth, Chattanooga; three nephews, George (Sherry) Thompson, Fred and John (Melody) Ruth; several great nieces and nephews. The family appreciates very much the special loving care she received from Helen Turner, Grace Fults and Don Mcbay during her long illness.
Service will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with Rev. John Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
