Johnny Ray Ables, age 63 of Powells Crossroads, died Friday, August 13, 2010. He was employed at Signal Mt. Cement for 43 years and was a Vietnam Veteran. Preceding him in deat was his father James Henry Ables, brothers Jim and Pete Ables, niece Terri Ables.
Survivors include wife Carolyn Ables; daughters Donna (Jason) Morrison; Tracy (Lee) Campbell; three grandchildren Logan, Trent and emma Grace Campbell; mother Dorothy Griffith Ables; brothers Darrell (Barbara) Ables; Wayland (Reba) Ables; sister Susie Masters; sisters-in-laws Linda and Betty Ables, all of Powells crossroads; Anita Bennett, Las Vega, NV; Yvonne Blevins, Douglasville, Ga; Sue Billingsley, Jasper; several nieces and nephews. Services will be Monday at 11:00 am CDT in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Cecil Baxter and brad Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Garden.
