Jack Combs, age 49, of Dunlap, TN died Monday August 2, 2010 at his home. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Congregational Methodist Church and was a board member of the TN Youth Camp, was preceded in death by his father, Edward Robert "Red" Combs; brothers, David and Eddie Combs; brother-in-law Ed Caldwell.
He is survived by his wife, Melanie Whitlow Combs; son Noah Combs of Dunlap; Mother, Lois Combs, Carpentersville, IL; 5 sisters, Jane Zitzka, Lori (Randy) Burris, Judy Combs all of Carpentersville, IL, Linda Caldwell, Griffith Creek, Diane (John) Reid, Reform, AL.; 4 brothers, Larry (Kathy) Combs, Terry ( Karen) Combs, Carpentersville, IL, Steve ( Gayla) Combs, Dundee, IL, Kenny (Carla) Combs, Byron, IL; several nieces and Nephews.
Funeral service will be Friday be at 1:00 p.m. CDT at Mt. Pleasant Congregational Methodist Church with Rev. Charles Thomas, Rev. Stanley Coppinger and Rev. Howell Whited offriciating. Burial will be in Cagle-Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to TN Youth Camp. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com.
Arrangements by Putnam-Standefer-Reed Funeral Home, 50 May Road, Dunlap. Visitation will be Thursday at the church after 2:00 p.m. CDT and Friday until service time.
