Bobby D. McGowan, age 70, went to be with his Lord and Savior October 24, 2011. He was preceded in death by his mother Nina Holtcamo Dent; father Clarence McGowan Sr.; grandparents Ed and Wilsey McGowan and Fred and Laura Holtcamp.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 47 yrs Janice Gravitt McGowan; children Sharon Kilgore , Bobby Joe (Kayla) McGowan, and Sherry (Jason) Davis; Mama Mae McGowan; brothers Thomas McGowan, Wayne McGowan, Shelbyville; Jerry McGowan, Clarence McGowan Jr, Anthony, Butch, Rick, and Allen "Pee Wee" Meeks McGowan, all of Whitwell; sisters Sarah Annette McGowan White, Shelia Kay McGowan Miller both of Whitwell; six grandchildren Samantha and Tyler Kilgore, Andy and Katelyn McGowan, Erin and Ray Holloway; one great- granddaughter Madison Fine; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Thursday at 1:00 pm CDT in the funeral home chapel with Sam Long, Terry Winston , Brad Bryant officiating. Burial will be in Red Hill Cemetry.Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements by Reed Funeral Home, 11675 Hwy 28, Whitwell, TN. Family will receive friends Tuesday 4-9 pm CDT and Wednesday 9:00 am - 9:00 pm CDT.
