Matilda White, age 99 of Whitwell, died Thursday, May 20,2010. She was a member of Cartwright First Baptist Church. Preceding her in death was her busband Elbert L. White; son-in-law Joe Burgess.
Survivors include son Dr. Thomas (Jane) White, Columbia; daughter Shirley Burgess, Whitwell; grandchildren Debbie Kirk, Steven Ray White, Elizabeth Ann Rayborn, David Burgess, Joey Burgess; six great-grandchildren. Services will be 2:00 pm CDT Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor David Burgess officiating. Burial will follow in Red Hill Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com.
