Gerald Roger Grindstaff Sr., age 69 of Dunlap, TN died early Sunday morning May16, 2010 at his residence. He was a member of the Hopewell Road Baptist Church.He was born in Bakersville, NC, lived and worked in Toledo OH, before moving to Dunlap thirty five years ago. He drove trucks for forty one years going by the CB handle of Mountain Dew and Amazing Grace. He was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Myrtle Grindstaff; sisters Vera Mae, June and Nina; brothers Eugene and Edge.
He is survived by his wife of fifty years Mary Zervos Grindstaff; two daughters Patty (Tommy) Harvery and Pamela Gist; one son Jerry Grindstaff Jr; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Services will be Tuesday at 11:00 am CDT in the funeral home chapel with burial in Davis Cemetery. Rev. Dennis Boston officiating. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements by Putnam-Standefer-Reed Funeral Home, 50 May Rd, Dunlap, TN. Visitation 2-8 pm Monday CDT.
