Obituary of Audra virginia Collins

Please share a memory of Audra to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
On January 10, 1924, a beautiful bright, blue eyed baby was born to Webb and Mae Tate who preceded her in death. They named her Audra Virginia. Honey became the loving virtuous wife of John Collins. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary before he preceded her in death. Their first born son, John Jr. died shortly after birth. John only experienced a few hours of her loving arms until their reunion in Heaven. Mother was the best and most supportive mom to Sam (Susan) Collins, of Maryland, Linda Ridge, of Hixson, Shirley (Fred) Day of Signal Mountain and Wanda (William) Dick of Whitwell. God blessed her with nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. We feel blessed that God chose us to be her children. Audra was also preceded in death by brothers, Robert, Grover, J.P. and Claude Tate and sisters; Velma Holtcamp and Ethel Frizzell. Her surviving sisters are Casa Cullip of Florida, Bert Panter of Maryland, TN., Sue Mosier of Georgia, and Marion Jo (Bill) Reynolds, Dunlap and Lucille Tate of Whitwell. As a member of the Cartwright Church of God Sister Collins taught Sunday school, was YPE Leader was in charge of the youth and children choirs, and drove many many miles to pick up children and others for church. Presently she was a member of the mineral Springs Church of God where God allowed her to be an inspiration at age 86. Audra Collins went to be with Jesus on March 23, 2010. Funeral service will be Saturday March 27, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel. Visitation will be Thursday 5-9 pm CDT and Friday 4-9 pm CDT.
