Robert D. "Dee" Angel, age 74 of Pikeville, died Wednesday, March 17, 2010. He was a member of the Wheeler Hill Church of Christ. Preceding him in death were his parents Oliver and Anna Belle Angel; sisters Ada Angel Smith, Rose Angel Ruth; brothers Lee, Clayton, and Eugene Angel; daughter Marie Angel.
"Dee" is survived by wife Janie Angel, Pikeville; daughters Gail (Jimmy Don) Layne, Glenna (Tommy) Goins, all of Dunlap; Diane (Clay) Myers, Pikeville; sons Ray (Polly) Angel, Pikeville; Daney (Vickie) Angel, Union City; Timothy D. Angel, Pikeville; oldest grandson and caregiver Robert (Jamie) Browning, Pikeville; brother George Angel, Chattanooga; sisters Flossie Blevins, Brighton; Elsie Brock, Pikeville; Arva Lee Fisher, Florida; Cordie Haston, Georgia; nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; special niece and caregiver Crystal; serveral nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be Saturday, March 20, 2010 in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm CDT with George Angel and Paul Cagle officiating. Burial will follow in Blackburn Cemetery. Visitation Thursday 6-9 pm, Friday 9-9 and Saturday 9am until service time.
